Become a Rockstar in 3 Minutes

In the next three minutes, I’m going to share with you how to become a rockstar.  The good news is, you don’t have to play an instrument, sing, or be tight with your local drug dealer.  However, by following my plan, you will achieve chart-topping rockstar success.

Rich Claussen, of Bailey Lauerman Advertising Agency in Lincoln, NE, gave the following advice: Put all your eggs in one basket. Find what you love to do, what you have the very DNA to do, and from that realize what people will pay you to do.  The “what people will pay you to do” part is what will launch your rockstar career.

The rising rockstars of today have many instruments that can help them achieve success. The modern mixtape should include:

  • A résumé to quickly and easily show places you’ve already performed.
  • A cell phone allows your manager and fans to easily contact you.
  • An e-mail address let’s you correspond with anyone, anywhere, helping you to promote yourself for free.
  • A portfolio website or blog is essential for recording previous shows and proving your worth as a rockstar.

Once you’ve built your mixtape, decide where your first gig should be. Even if your eventual goal is a worldwide tour, you have to start somewhere!  Your resume is the title track of your mixtape, and is the first thing potential venues hear from you.  You may have to perform several places to build up your rockstar status.

While the road the rockstar may not be short, by developing what you love into something people will pay you for, and constantly working to refine your mixtape, you will achieve chart-topping rockstar success.
